My boy is 8 today!!

Just finished celebrating my son's 8th birthday!  It seems like it was only yesterday that he was put in my arms for the first time.  Wow, how much things have changed since then.  We have since moved from D.C. to North Carolina, then to Germany, then to Belgium, and now back to North Carolina.  So much has happened in such a short amount of time, but it also feels like it's been no time at all, kwim?

This morning he woke up early (surprise, surprise) and we gave him his big gift....CRATES of Legos that I had picked up off Craigs List in December for around $100.  There's at least 2 castle sets, 4 ship sets, a space ship set, and a Star Wars set.  Claudia and James had a ball with them all day.  Here's a picture of him this morning just digging into all the crates.  Notice the big smile on his face!!

Yesterday I took some time to scrap a picture of my two nuts using the wonderful action set, Sweet Kiara, by Lilly Lane Market.  I also used one of her lovely templates, All About Love.  To see the complete set of credits, you can click on the layout.

I'm on Lilly Lane's action creative team and I'm trying to add one more person to my CT responsibilities.  I think that's the only way to give myself the drive and inspiration to actually take the time to scrap now that I have a full time job.  So far, I've gotten rejections from the few people I've applied to.  Eh, something will come up for me eventually.  That's what I kept thinking about when I was trying to find a good job and that's what happened.  Now I just have to focus that good attitude on winning the lottery.  LOL!
